Quo Vadis Trust (QVT) is a specialist housing charity which provides supported living for those who have complex mental health needs. Quo Vadis Trust operates in South East London providing housing as well as a wealth of support to maximise the clients’ independence and well-being. In 2019 we are opening a Community Café on Brownhill Road where we will deliver new activities.

Tasks/ Duties Involved:

Supporting our clients in a Peer Mentor Programme;developing their skills and ambitions, facilitating projects and activities researched and designed by clients

Supporting client recovery through engagement and empowerment; cultivating client self-esteem and confidence; organising and facilitating life skills workshops; general mental health management workshops

Organising and implementing one-to-one sessions, workshops and days out with clients; supporting clients in developing their talents (e.g. gardening, art, music etc.)

Supporting and signposting clients to academic or vocational opportunities.

Skills & Experience Needed:

Versatile and friendly approach in communication

Trustworthy, non-judgemental and empathetic

Interested in working with those with mental health issues

Able to work in a team

Training/Support Given

Receive full training including Induction, Recovery Models & Motivational Interviewing . Induction, training and regular supervision
