GRACE (Greenwich Refugee Aid and Community Enterprise) charity helps refugees, UK asylum seekers and destitute families, by collecting and distributing items locally, nationally and abroad. GRACE has a large distribution warehouse based in Leegate, Lewisham, SE12 and is the only one like it in South London.

Purpose/Objective of the Role

We are seeking drivers to deliver much needed goods to vulnerable women in Lewisham and Croydon

Tasks/Duties Involved

  • Driving the GRACE van to various addresses in South London.
  • The job can involve lifting small boxes e.g. nappies, clothing

Skills Required 

  • Experience of working with vulnerable women is ideal
  • A mature positive attitude
  • Full and Clean Driving Licence for Manual gear-change to drive Grace Van (driving your own large car is also an option)

GRACE will give you a full induction into our work. We offer a positive and supportive volunteering environment and would be happy to discuss whether there is any further training or support that the volunteer needs.
