GRACE (Greenwich Refugee Aid and Community Enterprise) charity helps refugees, UK asylum seekers and destitute families, by collecting and distributing items locally, nationally and abroad. GRACE has a large distribution warehouse based in Leegate, Lewisham, SE12 and is the only one like it in South London.

Purpose/Objective of the Role

We are seeking willing and trustworthy volunteers to help sort items.

Tasks/Duties Involved

  • Sorting through donations is a critical part of this role by: Age and gender, Destination – refugee camps, local charities or retail
  • Tidying up and basic cleaning of the warehouse
  • Occasionally you will be working with local resettled refugees and asylum-seekers, so a positive multi-cultural attitude is particularly welcome (Arabic-speakers especially welcomed but not a requirement)
